Greetings!

I wanted to bring something up with you.

It shouldn’t take long, and if you read this entire email, you’ll probably end up saving yourself from the spiritual battle you’re not even aware of..

Allow me to explain:

A friend of mine once told me about the time when he got married and moved into a new home with his wife.  You’d think it was a touching story, but it was actually horrifying.  You see, he explained that for months they enjoyed their new home living together worshipping and serving the Lord, and couldn’t be happier, but during that entire time, termites had invaded and were slowly but surely destroying their house from the inside out.  They ended up losing their home, and they were devastated.  It’s a sad story, but it’s a perfect example of what happens to a lot of Christians, and I wanted to ask if you were aware of this:

Usually when Christians accept Jesus Christ into their heart and commit to living a better life, they believe they won’t have any more problems; tiptoeing through the tulips.  Unfortunately that’s exactly when the greatest ills of life begin.

Even though your life seems to be going well, you’re unknowingly within a spiritual warfare that’s introducing wickedness, fear, evil and battles which may not seem like they are.  Just like the termites which invaded my friends home while he and his wife were happy.  The wickedness and sins of life begin to destroy you from the inside (if you’re not careful).

But allow me to put this into perspective..

My friend and his wife only lost their home. We’re all very grateful that they still have their health, and continue their devotion to the Lord, as well as their brothers and sisters.

But that’s because they only lost their house.

Satan Wants You to Fail

In John 10:10, the Word of God clearly tells us, that Satan comes to steal and kill and destroy! Yes his ultimate goal is to make you fall by committing sins and keep you from getting closer to God; which will ultimately lead to your demise.  Stand watch and keep on the lookout, always realizing that Satan wants you fail. Spiritual warfare is real whether or not you believe it.   Satan will stop at nothing to win your soul.  The devil is shrewd, and is always looking to win your souls through deception, temptation, lust etc.  One of the many tactics that Satan uses is making sin look attractive and eye-catching.  In the beginning, it looks pretty and shiny, but ultimately it will turn ugly and rusty!  In the end, he is trying to lure you away from God.  Beware of him.

One of the many weapons in Satan’s arsenal is envy.  The church recognizes the origin of other sins, stemming from the seven deadly sins:  Pride, Envy, Anger, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, and Lust.  Satan has a large weapons cache!  Envy, as we’ve discovered is” “The hatred of another because of their success or position.”  Satan was envious of God, which got him evicted out of heaven.   Now, he is looking for more roommates in hell, and uses envy as an application for the apartment.  ENVY is associated with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.

The Word of God clearly tells us “For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.” – 1 John 2: 16 ESV

We cannot successfully repair and paint over the cracks and damage in the foundation of our lives, but God can, especially when we are relying on Him.  All we need to do is surrender our lives into His hands, for it is with His hands He created the universe and all that is in it. It was with His hands that He rewrote upon the sands of time giving us life eternal in Christ Jesus, and with His hands He will give us strength to replace our failures with His success as He makes all things new.

Make a Choice !

Many could raise a question is it possible to lead a holy and Godly life in this ungodly world. Obviously it is a good question.  Surely there are many ways in this world which could drag away people to lead a life of holiness and Godliness for God.  In spite of this, God asks His people to live a Godly life. Our heavenly Father has provided all that you need, through His Holy Spirit, to live free of Satan’s temptations, tactics, lies, and snares to live a life of Godliness.

Does Living a Life of Godliness mean that you can escape the troubles or temptations of this world?  Definitely No – but you can set the compass of your heart on Christ. Then when the aggressive winds and tumbling waves of temptation, you will not be overwhelmed by them.  However, always remember – you are not left in this world without help!

Jesus knew that we would face serious temptations and trials. The night of His arrest, He prayed for us: “[Father], my prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it” (John 17:15-16).

God clearly tells in his verses that even though you are in this world, you are no where belong to this world. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. John 17:16

No way, no how and nowhere can you be faithful to two masters.

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

God has chosen you to give light and give fruits. There is no connection between light and dark. God has a mighty plan in you and to execute his plans in you, you need to be living a life of Godliness.
